SCAM ALERTS FOR JOBS
Dream jobs are not found via text messages or WhatsApp.
There
has been an increase in text messages claiming to offer great money with day
rates, work from home, without any proper job recruitment process like
interview and job inductions or training.
These
fake or scam messages are part of a rising trend of “Unicorn Job Scams,”
designed to trick people into fraudulent schemes by promising easy work and
fast money.
They
are targeting people who are desperate to find jobs, mostly international
students who are still searching for a job, struggling financially, and
genuinely believe this could be their way out.
The
Australian Federal Police warns that these scams are run by organized crime
syndicates that use fake recruitment names and job sites to trick people who
are desperate to find jobs
